The second service that took place on Holy Thursday 14 April 2022, was the Washing of the Feet (Vodnlova) service, commemorating the humility and service of our Lord Jesus Christ in washing the feet of His disciples.
During this service, young boys beautifully portray the Apostles while the celebrant portrays Christ himself, taking off his outer robe and washing their feet as a sign of humility and servitude. During this time also, the butter was blessed and used for the anointing of feet. The faithful were given a portion of this butter to bring to their homes at the conclusion of the service
