The Church of Holy Resurrection was first established in 1958 in the inner city suburb of Surry Hills.

As the Armenian Community began to grow so did the needs of the Church.

Formerly the East Chatswood Baptist Church, the current Church at 10 Macquarie Street, Chatswood was rededicated the new Armenian Apostolic Church of Holy Resurrection and consecrated on 27 February, 1966.

Throughout the decades, the Church has undergone major internal and external renovations to encapsulate the essence of more typical Armenian Church architecture as well as extensions to facilitate larger capacity.  The Church of Holy Resurrection has a seating capacity of 350 and additional standing room.  The Church doors are open during service times and scheduled prayer times however may be opened for faithful parishioners or visitors on weekdays during church office hours between 9.00am – 3.00pm.

The Church  is located close to Chatswood city centre and easily accessible by public transport – bus and train.

Parking is generally available on many of the surrounding streets of Macquarie Street.
