“And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me.” [Matthew 18:6]
Christian education is an important element in raising our children to build strong foundations in life based on the Holy Scriptures.
Why Sunday School?
Education begins at home but Sunday School gives children the opportunity to focus on Bible stories and principles for Christian living in fellowship with other children in the blessed environment of the Armenian Apostolic Church.
How are sessions conducted?
Each week we focus on a different story from the Bible. Story-telling and hands-on activities are programmed to ensure children learn in a fun and interactive setting. Facilitators are sensitive to the language needs of children and conduct sessions bilingually.
When is Sunday School held?
Sessions are held every Sunday morning from 10:30am. Regular attendance is highly appreciated and encouraged. Children are also warmly invited to join in Sunday School for a fun learning experience while parents partake in the Divine Liturgy.
The children are grouped in three age groups:
5 – 7 years
8 – 9 years
10 – 12 years
School’s Schedule
10:30 am – 11:15 am | Bible |
11:15 am – 12:15 pm | Art/Music swap classes |
12:15 pm – 12:30 pm | Afternoon tea, supervised free play time (time permitting) |
In addition, Sunday School organises annual concerts and the Christmas Carols at the end of the year. Concerts can be both cultural and religious, mainly related to the five Holy Feasts on the Church calendar.
