On Thursday 5 January 2022, the special Jrakalouyts (Christmas Eve) service was celebrated. Prior to the proclamation of the Lord’s birth and manifestation during the Divine Liturgy, the solemn readings and chants of the Vesper Vigil took place.
After this, the altar curtain, which had been drawn, was opened and the Divine Liturgy began with the participation of the Karasoun Mangounk Youth Choir.
Father Avetis Hambardzumyan was the celebrant and homilist for this beautiful lighting of the lamps service.
As per tradition, the faithful held candles or lanterns which symbolises the radiance of the spiritual light in our lives and hearts that the Saviour of the world and the Prince of Peace has given us through His humanity and His Divine direction ?
