The Blessing of the Grapes Ceremony was held on Sunday 30 January 2022.

Following the Divine Liturgy, in the courtyard of the Church of Holy Resurrection, Archbishop Najarian accompanied by Archpriest Reverend Father Norayr Patanian, Archpriest Reverend Father Bartev Karakashian and Reverend Father Avetis Hambardzumyan conducted the traditional grape blessing ceremony and blessed all those who had pledged vows and the faithful who donated the grapes.

Unlike in previous years, for the first time, this ceremony which is very close to the hearts of the faithful, was held in the presence of a modest number of parishioners. Needless to say the reason is due to the spread of the Omicron strain of the Coronavirus in the community and the government restrictions which precluded the attendance.

Led by Deacons Vartan Elmasian and Boghos Keleshian, the Archbishop followed the procession making its way from the church to the adjacent grounds where the boxes of grapes were laid. At the end of the ceremony, members of the Parish Council distributed the blessed bags of grapes to the faithful.
