On 8 October 2023, an episcopal ordination and consecration took place in the Holy Mother See of Etchmiadzin in which Archbishop Haigazoun Najarian took part.
The Divine Liturgy began with a solemn procession, by which the Catholicos of All Armenians was led under a canopy to the open altar of St. Trdat, where the Holy Sacrament began. The electors were the Primate of the Diocese of Shirak, Archbishop Mikael Ajapahian, the Primate of the Artsakh Diocese, Bishop Vrtanes Abrahamyan and the Primate of the Diocese of Australia and New Zealand, Archbishop Haigazoun Najarian.
