Michelle Darbinian, the top-ranking student in HSC Armenian was the worthy recipient of the 2014 Armenian Apostolic Church Educational Scholarship. The Award was presented to her last month during the Divine Liturgy by His Grace Bishop Haigazoun Najarian.

Michelle was a student of Mercy College and attended the Saturday School of Community Languages for her Armenian studies. She is now undertaking business studies at the University of Sydney.

The Scholarship established by the Armenian Apostolic Church awards the top-ranking student of HSC Armenian each year a $1000 gift to recognise his/her achievement, excelling in the preservation of our language and heritage. It is funded by the Levon Shohmelian Endowment Fund.
