Armenia and Artsakh have been under attack by Turkey backed Azerbaijan since September 27.
The media has been largely silent, or providing a one sided view of what’s been happening. Our government is yet to make a statement at all. Meanwhile civilians, schools, kindergartens, hospitals and historic churches are being shelled relentlessly. Two ceasefires were brokered and completely ignored by Azerbaijan.
Oil-billions and diplomatic threats shouldn’t gag Australia from our commitment to human rights. We need to spread the word and help send a message to the media and government to #EndYourSilence and #RecogniseArtsakh.
Please stand in solidarity with me and the rest of the Armenian people by taking a photo and sharing it across social media, along with the attached facts and instructions.
The @anc_au will be donating $5 to the All Armenia Fund @allarmenianfund for every post or story shared using #EndYourSilence by Nov 4th, so please encourage your friends to take part!
We need to use our voices to reach as many people as we can. Our aim is to tell the media to do a better job at reporting the atrocities happening in Artsakh right now, and the government to stand by Armenia and their commitment to human rights.
