Prior to their departure to Armenia, ACYA Committee members, Vahag Vartan-Boghossian and Garren Pezikian met with His Grace Bishop Haigazoun Najarian to receive his blessing ahead of their participation in the 3rd Pan-ACYO World Assembly convened in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin from 1-5 July 2015.
On 2 July, with the blessing of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; and under the presidency of His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Primate of the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America and Director of the Pan Armenian Church Youth Organization (ACYO), the 3rd Pan-ACYO World Assembly was launched in the auditorium of the Vatche and Tamar Library of Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.
Our young men had the opportunity to contribute to the forming of the overlying guidelines which will umbrella all the Pan-ACYO organisations around the world, as well to as take part in a number of discussions regarding the Pan-ACYO future agendas and budget.
The significance of the assembly is not only to keep in close contact with the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin but to bring together the various diocesan Armenian youth from around the world to share ideas on community and leadership, and to take these ideas back to their respective dioceses.
