On Sunday 23 July 2017, the sun shone down on the Church lawns as The Armenian Apostolic Church celebrated the Feast of the Transfiguration of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

A beautiful service that was accompanied by the combined Church choirs was followed by sandwiches and cakes on the lawns organised by the ACYA.

Also known as Vartavar, the old Armenian tradition of pouring water on one another had a more subtle flavour with the ACYA entertaining the children with a variety of water games that were perfectly suited to the mild weather.
