On Friday 6 January 2022 the Armenian Apostolic Church celebrated the Holy Nativity and Theophany of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
A solemn Divine Liturgy was celebrated by His Eminence Archbishop Haigazoun Najarian which was accompanied by the beautiful voices of the Combined Church Choirs.
At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, the mystery of our Lord’s Baptism in the River Jordan, was remembered in the ceremony of the Churorhnek, or the “Blessing of Water.”
The young George Tchaprazian, accompanied by his father Raffy Tchaprazian, was given the special privilege of being the “Godfather of the Cross”. The Holy Cross was submerged in the water which was blessed with prayers and Holy Muron.
