On Friday 10 November 2023, the esteemed Musicologist, Dr Mher Navoyan presented an enlightening lecture commemorating the 850th Anniversary of the death of St Nersess Shnorhali.
Under the Auspices of His Eminence Haigazoun Najarian, the event was jointly organised by The Diocese of the Armenian Church of Australia & New Zealand and The Regional Committee of Hamazkaine Australia.
A duet by Deacon Vartan Elmasian and chorister Isabelle Marcarian commenced the proceedings with a medley of three beautiful hymns by St Nersess Shorhali. After the informative lecture by Dr Navoyan, a poetry recital was performed by the very talented Manouk Kotoyan.
A special thanks to the Ladies Auxiliary of the Armenian Apostolic Church of Holy Trinity for organising the refreshments at the end of a most enjoyable evening.
