The Sunday of the World Church, also known as Green Sunday was celebrated on Sunday 14 April 2024.
Green Sunday is the perfect time for us to remember and strengthen our obligations as good stewards of the earth and caretakers of the gifts given to us by God.
As the service approached the Der Voghormia prayers, His Eminence spoke of the tragedy that occurred in Bondi, the previous day, and asked the congregation to pray for all those affected.
At the end of the Soorp Badarak, the annual blessing of the HSC Graduates took place, followed by Scholarship presentations at the Arachnortaran.
Rosie Martirosian (Galstaun College) was awarded Top Ranking Student of HSC Armenian in 2023 which is sponsored through the Levon and Mary Shohmelian Endowment Fund.
Dr & Mrs Harutyun and Maro Jebejian sponsored the All Round Achievers scholarships, which were awarded to Anna Babkenian (Our Lady of the Sacred Heart College), Natalie Chnorhokian (Freeman Catholic College), Sahara Nalbandian-Watkins (Northern Beaches Christian School), Tsoler Nazarian (Galstaun College) & Sarina Bergodian (Mary MacKillop Catholic College).
Sarina also received the newly established Legal Studies Scholarship generously sponsored by Hagop Boghossian & Richard Aslanian of Connect Legal Pty Ltd.
