Palm Sunday is also proclaimed Children’s Blessing Day in the Armenian Apostolic Church. Last Sunday, 24 March 2024, families with children of all ages came to Church to partake in Holy Mass and a special blessing service before the altar. At the conclusion of the Church service, a procession, with the children holding decorated candles, was led outside the Church, by the celebrant Der Bartev Karakashian and Parish Priest, Der Avetis Hambardzumyan.
