On Sunday 19 October for the first time, on the occasion of the Holy Translators, more than 40 Armenian school teachers were invited to attend Holy Mass at the Church of Holy Resurrection. His Grace Bishop Haigazoun Najarian offered his blessing upon the teachers, through whom generations have and continue to be educated.
The commemoration of the Holy Translators focuses on the creation of the Armenian alphabet (406AD) and on the accomplishments of the Holy Translators. Saint Mesrob Mashdots, the founder of the alphabet, and Catholicos Sahag, together with some of their students, translated the Bible.
