A beautiful sunny day greeted us on Sunday 19 November 2023, as we celebrated the Annual Armenian Kermesse.

George Najarian and Aram Amirghan returned again this year to host this wonderful event. Their enthusiasm and tireless energy throughout the afternoon was a special treat for all those watching the program.

One of the highlights of the Armenian Kermesse is the participation of so many different Armenian community schools and dance groups. The joy that these children bring as they perform is priceless.

Our gratitude goes to all the teachers, parents and students that made each performance possible. With Sunday School at Armenian Apostolic Church of Holy Resurrection, Sydney, Nairi Dance Group Sydney, Looyce Armenian Saturday School, Galstaun College, Serop Papazian Saturday School, ‘Nor Serount’ Dance Group, AGBU Alexander Primary School, AGBU Alex Manoogian Saturday School, Tarkmanchatz Saturday School, Toomanian Saturday Armenian School, Sydney Australia, Hamazkaine Armenian Sydney Dance Ensemble and Tamzara Armenian Dance Group.

We are so very grateful for the abundance of talent that performed at the Armenian Kermesse on Sunday. Apart from our community groups, we had five very special entertainers;  Charlie Chech – Singer, Gurgen Dabaghyan, Michael Aghabekian, Jonathan Amirzaian and of course, the one and only Masha Mnjoyan.

This year, we once again welcomed the support of our local, state and federal representatives at the Armenian Kermesse. It was wonderful to see everyone taking part in the festivities and enjoying themselves, especially for such an important cause. With Willoughby Mayor Tanya Taylor, Kylea Tink for North Sydney, Tim James MP for Willoughby, Ryde Mayor Sarkis Yedelian, Willoughby Councillor Sarkis Mouradian, Willoughby Councillor Robert Samuel, Willoughby Councillor Brendon Zhu and Willoughby Councillor Hugh Eriksson.

A big shout out to these wonderful photographers who kindly gave their time to take all the wonderful images you have been enjoying of the Armenian Kermesse: Glyn Szasz Irma Szasz Liana G Photography Herman Mahmur &   Nazarian.

Finally, it takes many hands to to put together and run an event like the Armenian Kermesse.

The Ancillary Body would like to express their deep gratitude and thanks to all the volunteers that gave their time so willingly, to make the day such a success and helping raise much needed funds for our displaced bothers and sisters from Artsakh.
