On Sunday 26 November 2017, The Karasoun Mangounk Children’s Choir held an informal get together after the Soorp Badarak to thank their Choirmaster, Baron Vartan Elmasian, for nurturing them and leading them through a busy year as we celebrated the 60th Anniversary of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Sydney.
Baron Vartan has been with the children since the inception of the Children’s Choir and the special relationship he has with both old and new members is evident.
Many of the children now also sing with the Loosavorich Choir which is a testament to how much they have grown and progressed under Baron Vartan’s tutelage and guidance. In fact, Mrs Lilit Mouradian, one of the original members of the Karasoun Mangounk Children’s Choir, now also steps in to conduct the choir when required.
