On Friday 17 August 2018, the Diocese of the Armenian Church of Australia and New Zealand hosted an evening with Baroness Caroline Cox, founder of the HART Foundation as well as a special friend of Armenia and its people.
The MC for the evening, Maral Simonian, from the newly formed Diocese Ladies Guild introduced the much loved Baroness Cox who then presented to the audience her mission in Armenia and Karabagh and the special work of the Lady Cox Rehabilitation Centre in Stepanakert. She explained how until today she has visited Karabagh 85 times since the conflict broke and the how the Rehabilitation Centre was established to assist the afflicted. An internationally-renowned centre of excellence, it has now become a model for a similar project in Burma (Myanamar).
After the presentation, Caroline Cox kindly answered questions from the crowd and signed books for the guests.
