The Lady Baroness Cox will visit Sydney on one of her regular trips to our region to promote the mission and work of the Humanitarian Aid Relief Trust of which she is founder and advocate. Her vision and passion is to relieve suffering, oppression and persecution by reaching out to those who have been neglected by international aid organisations and media.

She will speak to the Armenian community at this event organised by the Diocesan Centre under the auspices of His Grace Bishop Haigazoun Najarian on Friday 17 August at 7.00 p.m. in the Edgarian Hall. As a long-time friend of the Armenian people, she will also present the work of the Lady Cox Rehabilitation Centre in Stepanakert which provides treatment to people with disabilities. Originally for those wounded in the Nagorno-Karabagh war, this internationally recognised centre of excellence provides life-changing treatment to people with a wide range of problems, from children with cerebral palsy to elderly people suffering and recovering from strokes.

The work of HART extends from Armenia, to Africa, Myanmar (Burma) and Timor Leste. Its vision is to empower and equip forgotten or marginalised people in the developing world to overcome poverty and persecution.

Donations to the work of HART can be made on the evening. Donations of $2 and more are tax deductible.
