ACYA Sydney and Melbourne celebrated the Feast of Soorp Sarkis with blessings and companionship.
On Sunday 17 February, ACYA Sydney celebrated Armenian Valentines Day with blessings for all those named Sarkis and Mardiros (his son) as well as all the youth. They were then joined on the lawn for sandwiches, tea and coffee for all the parishioners, young and old alike.
A contingent of ACYA Sydney members joined our Melbourne family at ACYA this year to celebrate Soorp Sarkis with the support of Hye Getron and AGBU ‘Khoomp’.
After the festivities of Soorp Sarkis on Saturday night, which included entertainment by Raffy Adourian, they all took part in the Soorp Badarak at St Mary’s Church on Sunday morning.
Thank you to everyone in Melbourne who extended a warm welcome to everyone who attended the weekend celebrations.
