The Annual Primate’s Banquet took place on Sunday 30 April 2017 bringing together all sectors of the community to support the mission and ministry of the Diocese. The beautifully organised event featured performances from many talented youth of our community. The program commenced with the wonderful young tenor Roupen Minassian followed by a poetry recital of Abril by Manouk Kotoyan. Kevork Mouradian gripped the audience with a flawless performance on the saxophone, accompanied by Lilit Mouradian. The surprise of the night came from Chinese tenor, Jiang Hongxin who sang a powerful rendition of Hayastan, in Armenian. Following Haigazoun Srpazan’s keynote address, the irrepressible Jonny O’Han took to the stage singing a mixture of smooth jazz and familiar Armenian songs. The evening’s entertainment was rounded off with a mesmerising performance of Hallelujah by Isabelle Marcarian.
