Choirs
The Church of Holy Resurrection is blessed to have three choirs that regularly partake in the Divine Liturgy (Soorp Badarak) by providing beautiful voices that sing the hymns (sharagans) and liturgical music.
Loosavorich Choir
The Loosavorich Choir was established in 1988 and generally participates in the Divine Liturgy (Soorp Badarak) on major feast days as well as on significant occasions as required.
The Choir consists of twenty members most of whom are dedicated, long-serving members of the church community. It welcomes parishioners of mature age and all musical abilities to join them.
The Loosavorich Choir is conducted by Deacon Vartan Elmasian.
The newly established Vartanants Choir in 2008 comprises of youth mostly young adults between the ages of 18-35. Younger teen members also make up this group because of their keen interest and musical ability.
The Vartanants Choir partakes regularly each month in church services. The group holds weekly practice sessions normally on Sundays and is open to youth dedicated to learn the liturgical hymns.
The Vartanants Choir is conducted by Chris Nazarian.
Children’s Choir
The Children’s Choir was established in 2005 and consists of children aged 7-13 years. The choir is open to children of all ages who enjoy singing and are willing to learn the liturgical hymns.
The Choir is conducted by Deacon Vartan Elmasian.
